by firmbodies.com on Jan.13, 2009, under Fitness Equipment, Health and Fitness

If you want to buy a used elliptical machine, learn as much as you can about it before you do. Learn how used the machine is and what the original cost was. Search for the machine online and see what you can learn about its price would be online vs a local buy.

There are plenty of models and brands to be considered before you make a decision, including how old it is and how much it was used. If it was in a gym you can expect it to be much more used than if it was in a home. Find out all this information and you can safely say that you did your research and you made the right decision.

By searching in newspapers, on eBay and in shops you have a good chance of finding an elliptical machine that does what you want. These places can be used to look for elliptical machines for those that want to get started exercising at home or they can be used by those with medical conditions and don´t have a lot of money to buy a new one.

Whatever your case is, make sure you get a high quality machine for your money. Either way, know that these machines aren´t just a fashion, they´re considered very good and a lot of people buy them. It´s not just a thing of the moment.

The great thing about them is that they can provide a low-impact workout, with a cardio approach and influence on the upper body. It´s built especially for these areas and it´s well worth the money you pay for it.

Something else that you should think about when you buy a used elliptical trainer is if this machine can bring you the workout quality that you expect from it. It should be in good condition and it also needs to support the weight training that you do.

Consider all these options when you decide on buying a used elliptical machine. If everything is OK with it, then buy it if the price is right, but remember that it doesn´t have any warranty. Here are a few of the things you should look for in a used machine:

* A smooth motion, both for the reverse and forward, because some of the machines of low quality will feel a bit jerky.

* It must be of low noise, so you can listen to tapes, music, CDs or TV.

* It must be capable of dual function for the upper body motion, and have bars and handgrips.

* Customizable and preset programs.

* Monitors for the heart rate that can link to your computer.

* Adjustable pedals and incline ramps so you can vary the workout intensity and muscle usage.

* Pricing and warranty if it´s available.

The TBow - Making Exercise Fun

by firmbodies.com on Jan.13, 2009, under Fitness Equipment, Health and Fitness

Exercise. That seems to be the absolute buzz-word of the moment. The problem with exercise is fitting it into a busy life. Joining a gym is a wonderful idea in theory, but how many of us actually make it there on a regular basis - enough to warrant the joining fee? Not me, for one! What you want is a piece of home exercise equipment to do your cardio (pulse raising) exercise on. A treadmill will do the job, so will an exercise bike or elliptical. But they’re all so large. And unsightly. And horribly pricey. And there’s hardly any space to swing a hamster, let alone a cat in the spare room.

Don’t despair. There is a piece of equipment that you can do both cardio and resistance exercises on. That doesn’t cost a fortune and isn’t the size of a small elephant. That will stack against a wall or in a closet and you won’t even know it’s there.

Its a TBow. Made in Switzerland and taking the USA, Canada and the UK by storm!

So what’s a TBow?

Basically, it’s a piece of heavy duty curved plastic, shaped a bit like a hump-back bridge, with a mat surface on the humped side. This side up, the T-Bow is stable and can be used for Step exercises. There are gaps on each side to fit elastic resistance bands through (available with the TBow). Now you can do resistance exercises standing, kneeling or lying on the TBow; place your hands on it and do push-ups; the list is almost endless and works every muscle in the body!

Then turn the TBow curved-side down and the fun really begins; place your feet either side and rock your way to cardio fitness! And because this side is unstable, you have to use your core muscles to balance yourself and unlike a stability ball, you’re never more than a few inches from the floor. Exercise was never so much fun - it’s like being a kid again! All you need now is some upbeat music with a great beat, and you’re off - burning loads of calories while having a good time. A win-win situation!

So there you are. Calorie-burning, fat-blasting, muscle-toning, core-strengthening exercise in a small space at a fraction of the cost of other gym machines. And when you’re through just slip your TBow away in a closet or under the bed and it’s out of the way.

You can now give yourself a pat on the back - you’ve done your exercise in the comfort of your own home, saving yourself both time and money. Well done!

Take a look at the TBow now; you won’t regret it.

Fitness Plan Review of Burn the Fat

by firmbodies.com on Jan.13, 2009, under Exercise, Health and Fitness

When it comes to fat burning, muscle building plans, Tom Venuto’s Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle (BFFM) is a perennial leader, and the #1 plan available online. A veteran bodybuilder, Tom’s advice differs from the traditional kinds of information you find in the bodybuilding media. His muscle building plan is based on many years of real-world experience and his observations of some of the fittest physical specimens of our day. Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle has been used by thousands to build lean muscle fast, while shedding excess body fat. If you follow Tom’s plan, you’ll achieve the fit, sexy, muscular body you’ve always wanted.

Over a long, successful career as a bodybuilder, Tom has plenty of personal experience with the fitness business, with its overblown hype, costly but useless supplements, and potentially dangerous drugs like steroids and growth hormones. The Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle plan rejects all this, relying on natural, practical, well-tested methods and no drugs. In his plan, Venuto teaches you how to develop lean muscle, using natural muscle building exercises and the best muscle building diets. Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle is an effective and safe plan.

Tom’s plan is a muscle building plan for your lifetime. It doesn’t just help you build muscle and burn fat. It shows you how you can be healthy, fit, and active for the rest of your life. The plan doesn’t force you to starve yourself to keep off the fat, so hunger pangs will not be your companion for all your remaining days. You don’t have to stuff yourself with substances that will build lean muscle fast while putting your health and maybe your life at risk.

Instead, Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle teaches you to develop your muscles naturally and safely, and gives you healthy eating advice that will keep your metabolism revved and burning fat, without putting your health at risk. In fact, Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle teaches you how to lead a new lifestyle: one that’s healthier and more enjoyable than the one you lead now. The fact that you’ll also become lean and strong and sexy is almost beside the point.

Your new lifestyle will feature a healthier, stronger mind to go with the healthier, stronger body you’ll build. Think about it. You can’t have one without the other, and Tom addresses the psychological aspects too.

I’m sure you can see why I wanted to review Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle. It’s really a comprehensive plan for remaking your life & becoming a happier, healthier person. If you’ve failed to develop your body the way you wanted with other muscle building plans, then try Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle.
